I started learn English in the third form, too.
In the seventh form I started to learn french and since last year I'm learning Spanish.

I havn't ever read a book in English, but I've watching ev'ry DVD I have on English. And you must know that I have about 20 DVDs

I read some parts of the Lord of the Rings in English.
And actually, it liked the language. I definitively prefered it to the translation! But then I got bored with all those long descriptions again, so I quit reading it. I've never managed to finish reading LotR

We read "the hound of the Baskervilles" in english lesson. It took 3 months to get through it. Most people in my class can't read or understand english O.o

Did I? Then it was completely coincidental and definitively not on purpose.

We read The wave in 10th grade, and in 11th grade we read a "book" called Quinted up a mountain, which had about 30 pages and many nice illustrations. Our "teacher" had had his last English class about 20 years ago, and my english was much better than his.
At least, we got rid of him now.

It's all right when people in the 9th grade don't understand everything in English. But I'm in 12th grade now, and people still can't form a simple sentence.

Our good english teacher left last year Our new teacher is just doing exercises with us. Kind of boring .__.
