I am proud of myself indeed. Church free christmas, church free november, church free easter, church free everything I also love going to cathedrals and churches in other cities. Architecture and art are awesome. (hehe alliteration ^^)
the petersdom in rome is very beautiful. i choose to ignore the religious purpose. it is hard but doable.

Friend of mine managed to make a woman pregnant, so that's what was to be celebrated. Nevermind the day... I'll just have to get up at 5am sharp today that still gives me some solid 3.5h of sleep! I think it is absolutely great that there is an english spoken thread - it is just sad that just a few people seem to be interested in participating to such a thread though languages actually are one of the most beautiful things we have and we should keep them and save them and hold them and above all grow with them and let our skills grow.

I also think that this thread is a hilarious idea!! Speaking English got really rare in our modern Austrian / german society! ( not to mention, the most people who think that they should only talk English when they are forced to)
English is such a beautiful language, and there are far too few people in Austria ( and I guess in Germany too) who speak english beyond school!

Well... not in mine. I've got so much English all over around me, that I don't really make a difference between the languages. A little while ago I watched a polish TV show and after that an english one. It felt like the same.
Furthermore I've got a lot of english speaking friends that communicate via facebook and I work for a market research company, so sometimes I have to phone to GB for interviews.... you see, a whole lot of english, but I really appreciate it. Most of the time it is a lot of fun.
My english teacher was/is great. One of the best teacher I ever had.
