Seems we do have some treasures rusting out there. Snoop, to continue our Star Wars discussion. I even bought the english Videos, years ago, when DVDs had not been invented yet. You cannot imagine the first time I watched. Me with my german dialogues and the voices in mind. Very funny.

Nowadays, I hardly watch Star Wars in german. Especially the new ones have such a poor syncronisation. What is really funny about the english versions of the classic trilogy is, that the Imperials are talking british english, whereas the Alliance is talking with an american accent.

Hi everyone. I decide to write in this thread too. My english is really bad so I hope that you understand a bit. When you find mistakes in my sentences than tell me. I'm sure you'll find much of them. *gg*

Oh damn. That is one of my typicall mistakes. In school I always had a 4 or 5, so you can see, I'm not an english expert. But I love to talk and write english. And I love to watch movies in their "real" language. I don't know why, because in school I hate english.*gg*

Hey Viv, I don't know it, but remember, the internet is your friend. Shouldn't be to hard to find a review somewhere out there.

Keks, I think it depends on how your english lessons were facilitated. With the right themes and a good teacher it sure can be fun. But anyway, if you have found your way now, so much the better.

My teacher was very interessted that we use a formal english, like "don't use the word bad, there are other words for it" or "don't use activ sentences". That was very hard for me.

Well, I think it is good to begin in this formal way when you start learning the language. Later on, it is nonsense, as nobody it talking that way in real life. We should rather deal with foreign languages, as we do with our native tongue. Learn it formally, but then use it like the natives do.

I think the same way. In the begining of learning it is better to learn formal english. But the teacher I was talking about was the teacher of the last 2 years I was in school.
But now let's talk about another theme.

Concering "Torpedo-Rudi". They finally axed him. No longer the leading decision maker in the club.
